Air Arabia Introduction

Air Arabia is one of the leading airlines in United Arab Emirates. Headquartered in Sharjah, the airline is one of the low-cost airlines of the country as well as the world. It was established back in 2003 and started its operations in October 2003. As things stand today, the airline has 82 destinations spanning the North Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe in more than 35 countries around the world. It enjoys the status of being the largest LCC (Low Cost Carrier) of Middle East and North Africa.

Air Arabia has established a few joint ventures with different Airlines. In 2007, the company entered into its first joint venture with Nepalese Company to establish the AirArabia operations in Nepal under the banner Fly Yeti. In 2009, it entered into a joint venture business with one of the leading Egyptian Tourism & Travel Company titled Travco Group. The commercial flights of the joint venture were initiated in June, 2010 under the brand AirArabia Egypt. In June 2010, AirArabia entered into another joint venture with a Jordanian company Tantash Group and started AirArabia Jordan flights. Similarly, in 2009 AirArabia entered into its third joint venture with Moroccan investors to establish the AirArabia Morac, which now serves several destinations across Europe.

Air Arabia Fleet & Services

As of January 2013, the fleet of AirArabia consisted of 33 airbus aircrafts with 3.2 years as an average age and equipped with 162-168 passengers seats. The whole fleet possesses all-economy class layout. In addition to low-cost air travel solutions, AirArabia offers several other services like AirArabia Airport Service to help its customers track boarding, check-ins, go through hassle-free immigration process, well-equipped lounge at various airports and convenient porter air-travel service. Similarly for those travelling to United Arab Emirates, AirArabia offers an efficient Visa Service to help get a visa conveniently. AirArabia Bus Service also deserves a mention here. It offers passengers travelling by Air Arabia to travel from any destination in Sharjah to International Airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain. The buses are air-conditioned and are equipped with baggage trolleys to help customer begin and end their journey with AirArabia with comfort.
